“I Dumped Him”: UDA Senator Karen Nyamu Ends High-Profile Romance with Mugithi Star Samidoh

Nominated UDA Senator Karen Nyamu has publicly confirmed the collapse of her controversial relationship with celebrated Mugithi artist Samuel Muchoki, popularly known as Samidoh, declaring she ended the years-long affair. The revelation comes amid growing speculation about their split, as the pair—once inseparable at public events—have recently avoided the spotlight together.

Nyamu, a polarizing figure in Kenyan politics, dropped the bombshell while clapping back at a social media critic who accused her of being “dumped” after allegedly using wealth to pursue the married singer. “Point of correction. I left him,” Nyamu fired back in a now-viral exchange, asserting her agency in the breakup. The comment adds a new twist to the saga, contradicting rumors that Samidoh cut ties over infidelity concerns.

Their romance, which began in 2017 during Jubilee Party campaigns, has long been shrouded in drama. At the time, Samidoh was already wed to Edday Nderitu, his wife of over a decade, fueling accusations that Nyamu—who shares three children with businessman Jacob Juma—was a “homewrecker.” The senator, however, has consistently denied wrongdoing, framing the relationship as a genuine connection.

The duo’s on-again, off-again dynamic has captivated tabloids for years, marked by public spats, reconciliations, and even allegations of domestic disputes. While Nyamu’s latest claim suggests finality, neither Samidoh nor Nderitu has addressed the breakup publicly. Fans remain divided, with some applauding Nyamu’s boldness and others criticizing the affair’s impact on Samidoh’s family.

As the story trends online, questions linger about what’s next for both figures. Will Samidoh focus on repairing his marriage? Is Nyamu poised to reignite her political ambitions? For now, the spotlight stays fixed on one of Kenya’s most talked-about love triangles.
