Willis Raburu Responds To Trolls After His Flopped Show In Machakos – Video

Citizen TV journalist Willis Raburu has broken his silence over a much-hyped Gengetone fest that turned dull in Machakos with him as the emblem.

The show had been looked forward to as it was to feature the established acts in the Kenya’s Gengetone genre but turned out to be a damp squib only a handful of revelers making it to the fest at the Machakos People’s Park.

Willis Raburu became the topic online after photos of him entertaining an almost empty audience started to surface. Netizens could not help ridiculing him after the failed show advising to stick to his career as a full-time journalist.

Willis says the event turning dull is owed to the poor coordination and cooperation between the artists -that were slated to perform and the organizers of the event. The news anchor says the artists refused to take on the stage after the organizers could not remit the agreed payments to them.

The artists had been given an amount, the summation to be met before they get on stage to perform, a scenario that failed to materialize.

Willis who is also an alumnus of Moi University has left his fans with uncertainties, already insights pointing at his likelihood of quitting news anchoring to fully venture into entertainment. He recently unveiled his new hairstyle rocking the killmonger locks which could make good the assertions that he is set to quit the newsroom.

He released his first project dubbed Kalale two months ago. The track currently boasts of more than 3 million views on Youtube.
