Why Vocal Nandi Hills MP Alfred Keter Is Off Politics

With the prevalent BBI and anti-BBI politics in the country, Nandi Hills MP Alfred Keter’s absence in the scenes can be noted given his aggressive political person.

His tough and fierce kind of politicking would be instrumental in either of the divide in the BBI politics.

Known for his strict stances against bigwigs of William Ruto’s taste, the Nandi Hills legislator has of late resorted to a low key profile, owing that to a postgraduate program he undertakes at the University of Nairobi.

Hon. Keter is pursuing a master’s degree in business administration.

“I took my time off politics to pursue my Master’s of Business Administration (MBA) at the University of Nairobi. I am taking my sweet time to complete my studies, away from the hectic and frenzied political arena,” Hon. Alfred Keter says.

“I want to concentrate on my studies. I am not like some politicians who enroll for a degree, miss classes and end up buying the academic papers,” he adds.

The MP has been on record criticizing the Deputy President who is believed to be the kingpin in the Rift Valley region, where he (Keter) also comes from.

He hit the news headlines in 2013 when he was on rampage decrying the SGR tender which he said was overquoted by individuals to fleece taxpayers.
