Who is Tanasha Donna?

Tanasha Donna is one lady who has been in the headlines for the past month after breaking up with Tanzanian artist Diamond Platnumz. This saw her relocated back to Kenya with her son and start over.

She was born in 7th July 1996 with her parents naming her Tanasha Donna Barbier Oketch. A Luo by tribe, she moved with her parents to Italy and came back to Kenya at the age of 20.

Tanasha acquired her first Bachelor’s Degree in Tourism Management in a reputable college in Belgium. The artist is fluent in Swahili, French, Dutch and Spanish.

Her career began as a radio presenter at NRG Radio in 2018 as the co-host of the station’s mid-morning segment. She was later moved to the late-night show dubbed NRG circle.

In 2019, her music career officially took off with her releasing her first single Radio. It went a step higher when it was reported that she was dating Tanzanian singer Diamond Platnumz. They brought forth a baby boy, Naseeb Junior.

According to her, it was not her plan to have babies with Diamond as their relationship had just kicked off. Tanasha said that she was shocked when she found out that she was pregnant. The pregnancy was attributed to the fact that she was not keeping track of her menstrual cycle.

I was careful not to fall in love with him completely because I wanted to know him better. I was shocked to learn I was pregnant for him. I was not ready to be a mother. It happened because I was not keeping track of my menstruation cycle

Speaking about her relationship with Diamond, she noted that it was strained by people who surrounded them. His friends kept asking him if he was ready to marry a fellow musician who is considered competition.
