VIDEO: Kenyan Shows US Citizens How to Protest in Swahili

A video of a Kenyan in the United States has emerged of him showing fellow protesters how to chant in the Swahili language.

The charismatic man recorded himself telling people how they chant in Swahili during protests. He teaches them how to say the phrase “Haki Yetu”.

The protesters, in response, follow his lead and shout the chant as they continued with their protests.

Tense protests have been witnessed across various cities in the United States over the death of George Floyd. Protesters clashed with police in major cities such as Atlanta, Minnesota, Los Angeles, Colombus, and Denver.

Mayors around the country imposed curfews and several governors called in the national guard amid scenes of violence, injuries and unrest.

US President Donald Trump announced on Saturday said that the justice department was conducting a civil rights investigation in the death of George Floyd. He, however, stirred controversy by labelling the protesters as anarchists and claimed that his political opponents were behind the scenes of violence.
