On Saturday a car was reported to have sunk into the Indian Ocean from the Likoni crossing channel, leaving one person, a 46-year-old man dead.
Unlike the October incident, of Mariam Kighenda and her daughter Amanda, Kenya Navy officers were able to retrieve the sunk saloon car and the occupant in less than 24 hours, as opposed to 21 days in the former case.
It was just reported but many could actually not know or understand how the car slid from the ramps of the channel into the waters. John Mutinda is seen overspeeding into the water in the early morning hours.
The 14-minute CCTV footage shows here below:
Mutinda was reportedly signaled by ramp controllers to slow down and stop but he drove on at high speed, raising questions on his motive, others suggesting he was on a suicidal mission.
