The driver who drove to Homa Bay accused of having COVID-19 has come out to say that he doesn’t have the virus.
Kelvin Aura cleared the air on the matter in a video that has since gone viral on social media platforms. The 26-year-old says that he is healthy despite Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe announcing that he had been tested positive for COVID-19..
Kelvin, who is now isolated at Malela Health Centre, disputes the results as he says that he doesn’t have any symptoms of COVID-19. He added that he has never received any medication since he was isolated.
The driver also claimed that the Health CS had been misinformed by Homa Bay Governor Cyprian Awiti regarding his health status and the circumstances under which the group of mourners he was transporting had travelled into the county.
Watch the video below:
County Health Executive Prof Richard Muga has clarified that Kelvin is an asymptomatic patient.
The fact that he does not show any symptoms does not mean that he cannot infect others. Not all positive patients will show any symptoms. Those who do not have personal protective gears are at risk of contracting the diseaseProf Richard Muga
