Kisii gospel musician Chris Musioma, aka Embarambamba elicited mixed reactions on Monday evening, May 3 after risking his life during a video shoot.
The singer was almost knocked down by a motorcycle while shooting a video along a busy highway.
Embarambba was crossing the road while running when he came face to face with a speeding motorbike.
However, he escaped death by a whisker after the rider swerved in the opposite direction.
About three weeks ago, Kenya Film Classification Board (KFCB) boss Ezekiel Mutua raised concerns about musician Christopher Musioma, alias Embarambamba’s stunts in his music videos.
In a statement on his Twitter page, the KFCB boss said the gospel artiste is endangering his life with the kind of stunts he performs.
Mutua further urged his fans to stop cheering him as they might cheer him on to his own destruction.
“I have a feeling that Embarambara is a danger to himself and that his fans could be cheering him to self destruction. Is this style sustainable? Is it even sane? Unless he’s super human, this guy will hurt himself. Someone please stop him!” Wrote Mutua.
