A Mount Kenya University student (MKU) is reported to have allegedly jumped from the 7th floor of Chancellor Towers in Thika on Monday afternoon.
The student, who is yet to be identified, jumped from the building at 2 pm. Sources indicate that the student was depressed and jumped from the building to end his life. Other reports suggest that the student was suffering from heartbreak.
It is said that the student was alone on the 7th floor before he jumped off. Security guards heard a loud bang when he fell and rushed to the scene.
In a short video seen by Breakingnews.co.ke, the student is seen been carried away by some individuals after jumping from the Towers.
Speaking exclusively to Breakingnews.co.ke, MKU Student Vice President Joy Rachel said that the 4th Year student was pronounced dead on arrival at Thika Level 5 Hospital.
