Uhuru Leaves the Country Thrice in One Month

President Uhuru Kenyatta has flown out of the country yet again, making it the third time this month alone.

The Head of State left for Paris, France on Tuesday evening, June 29 where he is expected to sign a deal on a road construction project.

Reports indicate that Uhuru is set to negotiate the construction of the Nairobi-Nakuru-Mau Summit highway which will cost at least KSh160 billion.

The contract for then construction of the 233-kilometer rode was awarded to French companies Vinci Highways SAS, Meridian Infrastructure Africa Fund, and Vinci Concessions SAS.

The companies is mandated to design, finance, construct, actualize the project, operationalize the toll road system and maintain the expressway.

This month Uhuru took a trip to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia on June 8th where he witnessed the issuance of a telecommunications license to a telco companies including Safaricom PLC.

He also made a two-day visit to the Turkish resort city.
