Governor for Kiambu County Dr. James Nyoro has refuted the reports making rounds online that he nominated Caroline Ndung’u as his deputy.
The governor said he is consulting with the relevant stakeholders and he will only proceed to announce who is nominated for the position upon a consensus with the different parties.
“When it comes to the issue of nominating a deputy we shall make an official announcement on the matter. Let those spreading that information about the nomination continue talking,” the governor said.
Earlier there were reports of the governor appointing Ms. Caroline Ndung’u as his deputy after he was elevated to take up Ferdinand Waititu’s position at the county helm following a successful impeachment.
Ndung’u before the said nomination had served as the Barclays Bank (now Absa) Marketing and Corporate Relations Director.
Dr. Nyoro took over from Ferdinand Waititu who the Senate stamped his ouster presented by the Kiambu County Assembly.
