Three Pastors in Bungoma County Arrested For Holding Services

Three pastors from three different churches in Bungoma County have been arrested for holding services despite the government banning gathering of people.

The three men of God, Godfrey Njoroge (Apostolic Faith Ministries), Kevin Wekesa (Jehovah Witness), and Stanley Wafula (Repentance and Holiness) were arrested by police on Sunday. Both Godfrey and Kevin claimed that they were not aware of the directive of holding church services.

One of the pastors was even heard telling a police officer that they were gathering to collect tithes with another gathering his congregants in his house.

This comes a day after two priests, several nuns, and 46 congregants were found worshipping at two Catholic churches in the same county.
