We are in amazing political times occasioned by the events that have recently been taking place in the country’s ruling party.
Having been quiet as rebellion hit his party in the recent past, President Uhuru Kenyatta is finally up and is cracking the whip on members that choose to dissent to side with his deputy.
The ball was set rolling on Monday when the President convened a PG meeting that led to crucial changes in the Senate, seeing the former ML Kipchumba Murkomen losing his post, his Nakuru counterpart Susan Kihika not evading.
Those that failed to attend the meeting without any apology have been ejected from their posts. The axe is reportedly making its way to the National Assembly.
What is happening is believed to be a scheme by Uhuru’s right men led by David Murathe who has been on record objecting any chances of DP Ruto making it to the presidency. Ruto is being humiliated through his surrogates to diminish his chances of becoming president.
Uhuru is pushing for a coalition with KANU, which many say is a ‘dynasty’ formation warming up to take on the ‘hustlers’ who are led by his holiness William Ruto.
The aim may not be to retain Uhuru as president beyond 2022 but to create a post that will include him in the government that they are trying to set a plan for. Ruto happens to be the key opponent.
In a more satirical way, a social media user has crafted a commentary incorporating the happenings in the Jubilee party and government in general, creating an impression of a killer action movie starring incredible characters like Moses Kuria, Kipchumba Murkomen, David Murathe, William Ruto, the master himself Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM boys led by Raila Odinga.
The commentary has been laced with the typical tone and sound used by popular action movie commentator Dj Afro, thrilling even in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic.
Deelmagu Suarez is the creative behind the ace commentary.
