Now, there is a possible sighting of Gary on the M40 near Warwick services. The owners of the garden centre are asking anyone passing by to keep an eye out for the statue, which is similar in appearance to the stolen gorilla, on the back of a black pick-up heading north.

Gary, who had been a fixture outside the garden centre for a decade, had become a popular attraction among customers and locals alike. The statue was regularly dressed up in current affairs-themed costumes, donning PPE throughout the pandemic, and even a Santa hat at Christmas.
