Shaffie Weru refute Claims He Was Involved In an Accident

Switch TV presenter Shaffie Weru has come out to clear the air following rumors that he had been involved in an accident on Saturday.

The presenter was spotted beside a Mercedes G-Wagon that had been badly written off after a collision with a truck igniting speculations that he was the one behind the machine’s steering.

Following the widespread hearsay, Shaffie now says he is safe and was not in the vehicle but only had come to help out on the victim of the accident. He said the car belonged to his friend and upon learning of the accident he rushed over to help.

“I was not involved in any car crash, whatsoever. I had gone there to help the accident victim, who is my friend. If you keenly look at the pictures doing the rounds on social media, you will spot me wearing slippers and a pair of shorts, trying to assist where I can. That should tell you that I wasn’t involved in the accident.” said Shaffie Weru.

Initially, it had been thought it was Citizen TV’s Jeff Koinange who was involved in the accident as the automobile resembled his, only coming out to assure his followers he was ok, and on his way to Baringo.

The victim of the accident as confirmed by Shaffie was rushed to Aga Khan Hospital and was discharged after treatment. He was on his way to Nairobi from a golf event.
