Oficers from the Anti-Terrorism Police Unit (ATPU) on Thursday, June 17 raided the home of former KDF and presidential aspirant Jaffer Isaak in Nairobi.
During the raid, the officers from the unit reportedly confiscated Isaak’s wife’s passport and his kids’ passport photos.
Isaak who is currently based in London is reportedly at loggerheads with Marsabit politicians.
Reacting to the news, criminal lawyer Cliff Ombeta added that the politician’s family was harassed last week and his kids’ laptops and books confiscated.
In 2019, Isaak made headlines after being arrested with 445 kgs bhang worth over KSh 13 million inside his car in Marsabit.
According to police reports, the politician was arrested driving a Toyota Prado Landcruiser that was towing a trailer carrying the drugs.
He declined to allow the officers manning a barrier to search the trailer, prompting them to impound his vehicle.
