Police Officers Attacked By Boda Boda Operators In Ruiru

Two officers had a long day on Friday after they were met with violence by Boda Boda operators in Ruiru town.

They were attacked after reportedly arresting one of the riders who later managed to escape and came back to mobilize his colleagues against the officers.

The riders tracked the two officers before clobbering them. The violent operators were reported to the police who made their way to the place. The officers attacked have been identified as Joseph Maina and George Njuguna Gachoni, both operating from the Industrial Area Remand Prison.

The two officers sustained serious injuries and are now admitted to Thika Level 5 Hospital, having been referred from Ruiru Sub-County Hospital.
