A police officer who was on duty when ex-sports minister Rashid Echesa made to Ruto’s office to effect a military tender has been found dead inside his house at Imara Daima, Nairobi.
The incident was reported by a neighbor identified as Ng’ang’a Charles who had experienced an awful smell coming from the officer’s house which had been locked for quite long.
Ng’ang’a rushed to Embakasi Police Station where the officers acted on his report and swiftly headed to the house to establish what was the case.
The officers found Sergeant Kipyegon Kenei lying dead on the floor with a bullet wound that had entered through the chin and exited through the head and also hit the ceiling of the house which the officer was said to have been living in.
Sergeant Yegon was attached to the office of the Deputy President and was aged 33 years by the time of the unfortunate incident.
Beside the body of the officer was a Jericho Pistol which was reported to have been loaded with 11 rounds of ammunition. A spent cartridge was also recovered from the scene suggesting the officer may have committed suicide, though there seems to be much than it meets the eye!
A note was reportedly spotted which had a few wordings which the officer had directed to his brother and cousin.
CALL MY COUSIN BEN …….. BROTHER ……..
The body of the officer is currently lying at City Mortuary slated for a postmortem.
This incident comes a few days after claims surfaced that a top investigator into the multi-billion fake military tender implicating the DP and Rashid Echesa had been killed, Breaking News coming to prove the allegations were devoid of any truth or rather it was fake news.
DCI boss George Kinoti has stated the probe into the fake deal tends to widen as they prepare to arrest more parties suspected to know a thing or two concerning the tender, which the Ministry of Defence has since disowned.
DCI detectives have been at the DP’s office grilling the staff who were present when Echesa showed up to follow up on the deal, to find out every detail concerning the scandal.
