The D-day is finally here. The Nyayo National Stadium is currently packed as mourners await the service to kick off upon the arrival of President Kenyatta at the stadium.
Being a state funeral, everything seems to have been elaborately planned and all the military processes being closely adhered to as regards the stature of Moi during his life.
The ceremony is evidently full of pomposity, grandiloquence, flamboyance, etc almost 20+ delegates landing in the country to represent different states in witnessing Mzee Moi’s befitting farewell.
Below is how the service will run right from the Lee Funeral Home to Nyayo Stadium:
8:00 am; Members of the public expected to have arrived and had their seats.

8:30 am; The cortege with Moi’s body leaves the Parliament buildings headed for the Nyayo Stadium.
10:00 – 10:20 am; Sate dignitaries and international guests arriving at the venue.
10:30 am; President Kenyatta expected to arrive in the company of the First Lady.
