Narok Senator Ledama Ole Kina has been arrested on Tuesday following his remarks at the Building Bridges Initiative on Saturday.
The senator was arrested and whisked to the National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) offices after doing an interview with Citizen TV earlier today.
His arrest comes days after making controversial remarks during the BBI rally held in Narok county. Senator Ledama said that his community had been terrorized and stigmatized and that Maasai issues will be articulated by the Maasai people.
He went on to say that he would continue to pursue justice for the people he represents as long as he lives.
So long as I live, I will pursue justice for these people who I representLedama Ole Kina
The senator made these remarks despite the NCIC criticizing his previous remarks during an interview on national television where he said Maasai issues would be better articulated by Maasais.
He also added that any leader who was a non-Maasai leader would be barred from the meeting.
