Nairobi’s Southern Bypass Highway to be Closed For Two Days

The Kenya Urban Roads Authority (KURA) has announced that a section of the busy Southern Bypass road is set to be closed for two days to facilitate repairs.

The information was released through a statement on Thursday saying that the section would be closed on Saturday, March 7, and Sunday, March 8.

The closure will be in order to facilitate the removal of formwork below the bridge deck and the installation of the PVC drainage downpipes on the ongoing Langata-Ngong Road Link

The section of the road in question is at Lang’ata National Housing Corporation Flyover which closed from 6 am to 6 pm. Motorists heading to Western and to Mombasa Road are now advised to use alternative routes.

Traffic marshalls will also be stationed at the road to divert motorists from the planned repair works.

We appreciate the support, cooperation, and understanding of the public as we endeavour to modernize our urban road infrastructure for efficient transport
