Musalia Mudavadi’s ANC Offices In Kakamega Set Ablaze – PHOTOS

Kenyan Twitter has on Monday, June 29 been inundated with the news of the offices belonging to the ANC party being burnt leaving important documents destroyed.

Curious tweeps point at Senator Cleophas Malala’s fanatics (unconfirmed though) as the ones behind the arson given it happens a few days after the party disowned him.

Sources online intimate the act was conducted in the early morning hours of Monday, June 29.

Senator Malala since his election in 2017 has been at loggerheads with his party leader Hon. Musalia Mudavadi, ever dissenting from the ways of the party.

ANC’s disciplinary committee under the NGC cited Malala’s utterances during an ODM Party rally held during the Kibra by-election campaigns late last year among the reasons for his removal from the party.

The lawmaker, however, said his pitch in the western leaders’ meeting held in May in Kajiado by COTU SG Francis Atwoli is the reason behind his woes at the party.

“Hon. Musalia Mudavadi has kicked me out of ANC simply because, in Kajiado, where here was conspicuously absent, I am the one who read out the resolutions of the meeting declaring Hon. Oparanya, Hon. Lusaka, Hon. Eugène Wamalwa and Hon. Atwoli as the Luhya leaders charged with steering the development agenda of our people,” he said.

He however has chosen to pass over what he says are “sideshows in his ANC party”. The senator maintains that his focus on serving the people of Kakamega remains unchanged.

Police have launched a probe into the incident.
