A man in Kipchumwa location, Marakwet East Constituency, has killed his brother after they differed over plans to sell a cow.
Police report that the suspect tried to stop his elder brother from selling the cow to pay school fees for one of his children. An exchange of words followed soon and later ended in a fight that led to the death of the younger brother on Friday.
Area Chief Richard Chelimo said that the younger brother grabbed a machete and tried to slash his elder sibling. The elder brother rushed back to his house and came out with a bow and arrows and shot him several times.
The victim is reported to have died as he was being rushed to a health facility. The body was taken to Kapsowar Mission Hospital.
Police are now searching for the elder brother who fled after committing the crime.
