Man Clobbered For Allegedly Slapping DP William Ruto – Photos

A man has had it rough in Mathioya after he allegedly assaulted DP William Ruto when he was visiting the area for youth empowerment.

The DP was leaving Mathioya’s Rurii stadium to his vehicle when the man headed towards him.

He is said to have tried to attack the DP but the security detail was too quick for him, getting hold of before pinning him to the ground.

The DP’s office has however denied the allegations of the assault towards him, the chief of communication in the office David Mugonyi saying the DP was going on with his activities as scheduled and the said man was presenting a gift but was blocked by the guards.

Mr. Mugonyi said the Deputy President had earlier on been presented with chicken by an elderly woman and the man was following suit with a gift of tea leaves but was stopped by the bodyguards who did not know what he was up to and was later released.

The unidentified man is said to have been released after a while after the mini fracas eased with the DP leaving the stadium for another meeting in Othaya town.
