A man from Kilifi is appealing to the ODP to intervene after his procurement deal with the DP’s Weston Hotel turned south the hotel’s management keeping mum in addressing his pleas.
The unidentified supplier says he had been accorded the tender to avail to the hotel marine boards and timber in 2018 and even on completion of the supplies he has never been paid to this point.
“I was assigned to supply marine boards and timber and that happened when logging had been stopped in the country. We therefore had to import the timbers and that was still challenging,” he says.
He adds that after the procurement their contract came to a halt with those responsible not bothering about clearing his dues.
He says he was forced to seek loans so as to settle those who supplied him with the products being hopeful that Ruto’s associates would clear his debts before he repays the loans.
Having failed to see his efforts bear fruits in the hands of the DP’s handlers, the man now directly appeals to Ruto asking him to intervene as he is in desperate need of the money with the banks running after him for the loans he secured among other needs.
The debt is valued at Ksh. 1,481,995 that being from August in 2018, moving close to Ksh 2 million if inflation is to be accounted for.
