Kenya has confirmed 66 new cases of coronavirus, Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe announced on Wednesday.
This brings the national tally of cases in the country to 1029.
Sixty-four of the cases are Kenyans while two are foreigners.
Thirty of the cases are from Mombasa, Nairobi (26), Kajiado (3), and the rest are distributed across other counties that the CS did not mention.
Addressing the presser during the daily COVID-19 updates, CS Kagwe also announced the restriction of movement in and out of Nairobi’sEastleigh area and Mombasa’s Old Town.
The cessation extension in the areas is aimed at helping in curbing the spread of the virus.
