How To Apply For A Certificate Of Good Conduct In Kenya 2020

Better known to many as the Certificate of Good Conduct, the police clearance has become a job application prerequisite, recruiters and employers being much vigilant to incorporate people with integrity into their organizations.

Now that you got the essence of having a police clearance, this is how you go about to acquire the status:

1. Open An e-Citizen Account

2. Log into your newly created e-Citizen account

3. Make Payment By Choosing Your preferred payment Mode i.e MPESA, Airtel Money (or any other applicable mode)

4. Download and Print Your Invoice(of the payment), c24 Form. Present the Prints together with your ID to the nearest DCI branch for finger Print purposes4.) In Details:

1.) Open An e-Citizen Account

With your desktop or mobile browser, this is done in a few seconds. You will be taken through prompts to enter all the necessary details needed, after which a link will be sent to the registered email. You will be redirected to open the link so as to confirm your registration.

2.) Log into your newly created e-Citizen account

Now that you got an account, you will be required to log in. logged on, select the Directorate of Criminal Investigation menu. You will then be directed to “make application” . Upon clicking on the “make application” button you will be led to the Police Clearance Certificate link. Go ahead and apply, enter the essential details needed and then submit.

3.) Make Payment By Choosing Your preferred payment Mode i.e MPESA, Airtel Money (or any other applicable mode)

You absolutely rested for one of the modes of payment applicable to you and the police clearance service. So let’s say you chose MPESA. To make the payment via MPESA:

  • Go to M-PESA Menu
  • Select PayBill Option
  • Enter Business Number (206206)
  • Enter Account No.
  • Enter The Amount (kes 1000)
  • Enter Your MPESA PIN and Send
  • Wait For A Confirmation from MPESA

Upon receiving a confirmation from M-PESA, press the “Complete” button at the bottom of the displayed page.
