Has President Uhuru Dumped DP Ruto?

Tensions between President Uhuru Kenyatta and Deputy President William Ruto seems to have escalated to newer heights after Uhuru said that he would not be sending the DP to launch projects anymore.

He made the announcement while launching the Ksh 1.8 billion Naivasha-Njabini road in Nyandarua County. The president seemed to have had enough of the politics being played by his deputy and his allies.

I used to send them to launch projects like electricity but they concentrated on politics. I will now come alone to launch those projects

The president also noted that he would not endorse anyone for the presidency in the 2022 general elections. He noted that he trusted some people to push his agenda for the country but have only been throwing mud on his face.

I will not endorse anyone come 2022. I have been trusting some individuals but they end up throwing mud on my face

A visibly angry president concluded that he would be the one to be launching the projects himself. Watch his speech as he addressed the people of Nyandarua County.

Reports indicated that the president and his deputy were in an emergency meeting at State House on Monday for five hours. It is reported that Uhuru was not happy with how Ruto and his allies were undermining the implementation of the BBI.

The Tanga Tanga faction itself has been on the receiving end as Ferdinard Waititu was removed from office by the Senate on Wednesday despite efforts of Majority Leader Kipchumba Murkomen from stopping the impeachment motion.

President Kenyatta spoke about the impeachment in Nyandarua County saying that Waititu had himself to blame for the mess. He called out the impeached governor to stop bringing politics into the issue and to carry his own cross.

Stop bringing politics into this matter. You(Waititu), your wife and children ate money belonging to the people that elected you. Thus you must return that you ate to them.
