COTU Secretary General Francis Atwoli has called out DP William Ruto and his cronies following what he (Atwoli) has termed as disrespect and contempt unleashed to President Uhuru Kenyatta.
The jibe by the COTU boss succeeds an uproar by Emurua Dikiir MP Johanna Ng’eno and his Kapseret counterpart Oscar Sudi who together faulted the president for humiliating Mr. Ruto while negating his office.
Addressing a crowd in his locality over the last weekend, Hon. Ng’eno savagely called out President kenyatta for what he insinuated as the president turning dictatorial.
In response to the lambasting directed at President Kenyatta, Mr. Atwoli said it is inappropriate for the first family to be attacked and that it would only be reasonable if the president proceeded to tame his deputy, in this scenario apprehension being the apt choice.
“He has for a long time restrained himself… If I were him I would go and arrest William Ruto what would follow notwithstanding,” the COTU boss said.
Mr. Atwoli added that a Ruto presidency would turn Kenya into a worst quagmire, appealing to Kenyans to elect someone that ‘harbors no hate’ in the coming vote.
