Former KCSE Student Kidnapped By Fellow Students

A former KCSE student from Mweiga Secondary School was kidnapped by his fellow students on January 1st after they threatened to deal with him.

The boy, Oscar Muchiri Munyeki, completed his secondary education in 2019 and emerged the top student in his class. Despite his good performance, he had made some few enemies in the school.

According to his family, some students in his school had been threatening the 17-year-old boy after he allegedly stopped plans of an intended strike in the school.

It is reported that Oscar reported the plans to strike to the teachers and this did not sit well with some of the students who threatened to deal with him soon.

On January 1, Oscar was reported missing from his home area in Muiga, Nyeri County. Efforts by the family to contact his phone resulted in other people answering the calls.

The police have thus been involved in the matter and are currently tracing his phone so as to determine his location.
