Father John Pesa’s visit to DP Ruto’s Sugoi home seems to have rolled a series of tribulations for him, many things about him coming to light after the visit.
The cleric who heads the Holy Ghost Coptic church in Kisumu became the talk of the town recently after misquoting the bible as regards the death of Goliath, whom he categorically said was killed by King Solomon, and not David as known and written in the bible.
Kenyans made a jest of the misquote, the bishop hiding behind the age card to defend himself.
A few days after visiting Ruto, the cleric expressed fears about his life as he claimed unknown individuals were trailing him under the illusion that he had sourced good cash out of the Sugoi visit.
He is also on record to have complained about the meager amount of monies he was given as compared to other religious leaders that had toured the DP’s home.
Less than two weeks into the excitement Father Pesa caused online, allegations have surfaced that he chained a boy for more than two years impeding his freedom.

The said boy was taken to the Coptic church back in 2017 after he developed some mental disorder that his parents could not confide in any hospital. The church under the stewardship of Pesa was to commission spiritual healing for the boy who was then preparing to sit for the KCSE examination.
The boy remained under the watch of Father Pesa and the church and would not see light until May 2019, missing his studies and examinations in 2017. He is said to have been entangled in chains and Father Pesa could not let him go when his parents demanded to have him.
It had to take the intervention of court after the parents resorted to seeking legal redress on the matter following Father Pesa’s adamance in not releasing their son.
The bishop acceded to the assertions that the boy had been in his church but denied having tortured him for the long he had stayed in the church.
The High Court -sitting in Kisumu and in which the case was presented now wants Father Pesa to compensate the family kes 500,000 which will cater for the costs of the case plus interest that is to be calculated at the court rate.
The Holy Ghost Coptic church has been marred with controversies, many times being pointed at whenever a road carnage happens around the area it is situated.
Father Pesa has headed the church for close to four decades and is believed to possess powers as healing the sick, and even raising the dead.
