EXCLUSIVE: Watch The Chinese Arrive At JKIA Amid Coronavirus Flight Ban

The arrival of China Southern Airlines at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) on Wednesday has raised concern over the safety of Kenyans from the killer Wuhan Coronavirus.

Video footage of the airline landing at JKIA show Kenyan officials wearing no protective gear despite the Chinese media being well prepared for the citizens who were about to alight.

239 passengers were on board the flight that landed in Kenya and were allowed into the airport by officials as shown in the video below.

The Ministry of Health has since released a statement advising passengers who jetted into the country via the Chinese airline to self-quarantine as a precaution.

The statement from the Ministry also discards any fears of the coronavirus entering the country saying that all passengers were screened onboard and were cleared to enter the country.

A travel advisory has, however, been issued to Kenyans against visiting countries experiencing mass infections. The top three countries affected by the outbreak are China, Iran, and Italy.

Kenyans are advised against non-essential travel to countries experiencing the outbreak. This is in view of expanding geographical of the outbreak across the world

Kenyans are also being urged to maintain hygiene and avoid contact with persons exhibiting suspicious symptoms like fever, cough, difficulty in breathing, and sneezing.
