Makueni County – Police have launched an investigation after herders discovered a suspected decomposing human body inside a green sack in Makongo Forest, Makongo Sub-location, on the morning of February 22, 2025.
Authorities were alerted at around 10:00 a.m., prompting officers from Mukuyuni Police Station and detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCIO) Makueni to visit the scene. Upon inspection, it was confirmed that the remains belonged to a middle-aged male adult.
The body was transferred to Makueni County Referral Hospital Mortuary for further examination as investigations continue.
Police are urging anyone with information to come forward to assist in the probe.
