Children of Slain Mombasa Tycoon Recalls Night Father Was Killed

Slain Mombasa-based Dutch tycoon Herman Rowen’s children have recalled the night their departed father was allegedly killed.

According to a report by K24 Digital, his children aged, 14 and 12 years said their mother opened the door to three men on the fateful night.

The minors also disclosed that their father had informed them that he had initiated a divorce process but their mother was against it.

“My parents were often fighting, and my dad had decided to end the 13-year-old marriage, he told us that he would no longer be living with my mother, but he would continue to take care of us,” said one of the minors.

Further, the minors disclosed that on the night their father was killed, their mother reportedly led three strangers to their bedroom shortly before a commotion ensued.

“Our father kept on screaming for help, as we prepared to go to their bedroom, we realized that our bedroom door had been locked from outside and we could not leave the room,” said the minor.

They further said that later on their mother alongside, the three strangers m walked out of the house and drove out of the apartments.

Rouwen was found strangled to death at his Bamburi house and was pronounced dead upon arrival at the Coast General Hospital.
