WhatsApp, the popular instant messaging app, is reportedly introducing a new feature that could make cheating easier. According to WABetaInfo, an independent WhatsApp blog, the new feature called “Lock Chats” will allow users to lock specific individual and group chats, preventing nosy partners from snooping. The feature will be available in a future update and will use fingerprint or passcode authentication.

WABetaInfo emphasized that the feature is primarily aimed at enhancing user privacy and protecting sensitive conversations. However, the added layer of privacy could make it a great tool for cheating spouses or partners who want to keep their infidelity secret.

WABetaInfo said, “This feature offers an additional layer of privacy for sensitive chats, as it allows users to protect their privacy by preventing others from reading their messages. This feature also helps keep media private: it ensures that media files such as photos and videos sent in a locked chat are not automatically saved to the device’s gallery.”
The new feature will likely be a hit among those who cheat. However, it is important to note that the feature is still in development and not yet available.
