Former Kakamega Senator Dr Boni Khalwale is in hot soup after asserting that some churches in Kakamega town are engaging in devil worship thus some of the weird happenings experienced in the county.
The outspoken senator alleged that after a tragic stampede befell Kakamega Primary School on February 3 where 14 pupils were confirmed dead, one later dying in hospital.
“You know there are churches with questionable practice, especially how they deal with our children. Of the dead pupils, none had fresh blood oozing. We won’t allow anybody including the church to consume our children’s blood and consume them through satanic worship,” Khalwale had said.
The remarks did not rest well with the current senator Hon. Cleophas Malala who blasted his predecessor for being insensitive when the families were in mourning.
After a few weeks of the tragedy, the police in Kakamega seem to have taken the matter and now want the ex-senator to shed more light into the allegations he came up with.
Western regional DCI chief Shem Nyamboki has informed Khalwale will be questioned regarding the matter.
The politician will be required to reveal everything he knows about the churches he alleged they rent space in the public schools in the region to worship come every Sunday.
