Another Tanzania’s Tycoon Breathes His Last

Tanzania is mourning after one of its major tycoons died while in South Africa.

Mr. Ali Mfuruki was confirmed dead by the chairman of CEO Roundtable of Tanzania(CEOrt) Sanjay Rughani, who said the Tanzanian millionaire had been admitted to Motningside Hospital in Johannesburg before he would die.

This news I would never have wanted to break to you but our dear friend Ali Mfuruki passed on last night at Motningside Hospital, Johannesberg in South Africa.

Mr. Mfuruki had gotten ill in Dar es Salaam and wash rushed to The Aga Khan Hospital before being referred to South Africa after the worsening of his condition.

Ali Mfuruki’s death comes 7 months since the one of billionaire Reginald Mengi. Mengi was among the fifty wealthiest individuals in Africa and he died in Dubai while receiving treatment on an undisclosed ailment.

Mr. Mfuruki was a businessman-cum-author. Among his published works is Tanzania’s Industrialization Journey, 2016-2056.

The goner also ever served in many different capacities including being a trustee of the Mandela Institute for Development Studies, board chairman of Vodacom Tanzania among other positions.
