Adolf Hitler’s Pet Dies in Moscow

An alligator believed to have once belonged to German Dictator Adolf Hitler has died in a zoo in Moscow, Russia.

According to the zoo officials, the alligator, named Saturn, was around 84-years old when he died on Friday.

Saturn was born in Mississippi in the US and was later gifted to Berlin Zoo which he escaped when it was bombed in 1943. His whereabouts were not known until British soldiers found him in 1946 and gave him to the Soviet Union.

Moscow Zoo said in a statement that the whole story about Saturn being Hitler’s pet was nothing but a myth. Records show that he was under the custody of the Berlin Zoo and not to the German dictator.

Almost immediately, the myth was born that he was allegedly in the collection of Hitler and not in the Berlin Zoo

The zoo has kept him for 74 years and has been looking after him with maximum care and caution. Saturn was reportedly a picky eater and had an excellent memory of trusted keepers.
