22 More COVID-19 Infections with 22 Others Discharged

The Health Ministry has confirmed 22 more cases of the coronavirus in the country bringing the total now to 737.

The 22 cases were out of the 1516 samples tested in the last 24 hours. This brings the total number of samples tested since the outbreak to 35,432. Out of the 22, 21 are Kenyans and 1 is a Ugandan national.

10 of the new cases come from Nairobi County, 8 in Mombasa, 3 from Kajiado and 1 in Bomet. Health Chief Administrative Secretary Dr Rashid Aman also announced four more individuals who succumbed to the virus bringing the total number of deaths to 40.

At the same time, 22 patients have been discharged from the hospital bringing the total number of recoveries to 281.
